Blue10 Christmas actions 2025

By 2025December 24th, 2025No Comments

In December, many companies receive gifts from other companies as a token of appreciation for the pleasant cooperation over the past year. Naturally, we are also grateful for the trust placed in us by our customers, partners and business relations. Instead of giving out gifts, we decided eleven years ago to use this budget in a different way.

Since 2014, we have been committed to helping people in society who could use a helping hand. We do this not only by allocating budget, but also by rolling up our sleeves and getting involved ourselves. With this in mind, Team Blue10 delivers Christmas gifts every year and announces an “Elderly Outing” around the Christmas period, which we organise later in the year.

Team Blue10 delivers 500 Christmas gifts

For several years now, we have been dedicating ourselves to helping people who could use a little cheer during the Christmas season. This year, our team wrapped a total of 500 Christmas gifts. Each Blue10 employee visited at least five individuals or households who they felt could use some support. Whether it was a lonely elderly person or someone in a difficult situation, we hope that our gifts brought them some cheer.

150 Christmas gifts delivered in collaboration with De Betrokken Spartaan

In addition, together with Stichting de Betrokken Spartaan, we delivered 150 Christmas gifts to various Laurens and Aafje locations in Rotterdam. We hope that this will give these elderly people the attention they deserve, especially at this time of year.

Every year, Blue10 organises an “Outing for the Elderly” in which the team takes a group of senior citizens on an outing, in collaboration with Vitis Welzijn. We have already had several outings, including a performance by Paul van Vliet, a performance by Tineke Schouten, a visit to the Dutch Swing College Band, a performance by Oliver Laurent (Jacques Brel impersonator) and a festive afternoon on the SS Rotterdam with Syb van der Ploeg and Ger Vos, among others.

In 2026, we will once again organise an outing for the elderly in collaboration with Vitis Welzijn, to give (lonely) elderly people a wonderful afternoon. The exact date of the outing has not yet been set; we are still working on the organisation, with the help of the Nationale Theaterkassa, to make more than 150 tickets available for the outing for the elderly. We will share more about the details of the outing at a later date.
