Blue10 has a Data Pro Certificate, as a result of a correctly implemented Data Pro Code. The Data Pro Code is a practical implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in accordance with Article 28 GDPR for processors of personal data: the Data Processor. The Data Pro Code is an initiative of the branch association of ICT suppliers NLdigital and officially approved by the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

The Data Pro Code is an elaboration of the obligations for data processors of Article 28 of the GDPR and applies to processing operations in the Netherlands. The Data Pro Code provides practical rules of conduct for data processors. At the heart of this are the information obligations for the data processor and accountability by means of supervision.

In order to comply with the information obligations, the Data Pro Code requires a Data Pro Statement. In the Data Pro Statement, data processors inform how they have given substance to the GDPR. The Data Pro Statement, together with the Standard Clauses for processing, constitutes a processing agreement.

The Data Processor that demonstrably and sufficiently complies with the provisions of the Data Pro Code is included in the Data Pro register. A data processor that is registered submits to external supervision. A Data Processor that does not, or no longer, sufficiently complies with the provisions of the Data Pro Code will be removed from the Data Pro register. The branch association NLdigital is the point of contact for the certification. Auditors of an independent foundation (Data Pro Supervisor) assess to what extent the organisation complies with the Data Pro Code.

The Data Pro Code has been approved by the Dutch Data Protection Authority.  All organisations that are registered can be found in the Data Pro register.
