Now that the year is almost over, we at Blue10 are looking back on what 2025 has brought. For Blue10, it was a year focused on further growth and development. With 75 Blue10 employees, we helped approximately 3,000 organisations process more than 12.5 million invoices and manage underlying (purchasing) contracts.
Over the past year, we have worked on further optimising existing functionalities and releasing new functionalities for Invoice Management, Contract Management and the Blue10 App. Some optimisations or new functionalities will be immediately noticeable to you as a user, while others may be less so. They all have the same goal: to contribute to our mission of eliminating all manual data entry in accounting and ensuring that every organisation knows where it stands.

Developments in the software
Looking back on 2025
Over the past year, we have developed several new features. All functionalities that we develop and make available to customers are continuously updated and shared in the Release Notes on our website. Below, we have briefly highlighted ten improvements:
- Receipt of purchase invoices in Blue10 via the Peppol network
Within Invoice Management, you can now also process invoices received via the Peppol network. You process these invoices in the same way as a PDF invoice. To make the electronic message readable for a user, it is visualised in Blue10 and we display the attachments from the Peppol message so that they can be consulted immediately. Users with an administrator role can register administrations in Blue10 to link them to the Peppol network. Read more here.
- Extra protection with multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection on top of logging in with an email address and password in the Blue10 environment. The administrator determines whether this authentication method is mandatory or optional and can set a period during which logging in from the same device is marked as trusted. Read more here.
- Updated standard Blue10 Power BI reports (Enterprise)
Blue10 offers several standard Power BI reports that provide valuable insights based on data from your Blue10 environment. The standard reports offer insights into suppliers, purchase order matching, and process processing & auditing. The standard Power BI reports can be imported into your own Power BI workspace and can easily be customised and enriched with data from, for example, your ERP or accounting system. Read more here.
- OData API
Access to data from the Blue10 environment is now offered via the OData API. With the OData API, in addition to the updated standard Blue10 Power BI reports, you can also retrieve data from your Blue10 environment for reports and insights in Excel or other BI solutions. Read more here.
- Calculator in coding rules
It is now possible to perform calculations in the coding lines, in all fields where you enter amounts. You can use the standard arithmetic symbols: addition (+), subtraction (-), division (/) and multiplication (x). Enter a calculation in an amount field, press the enter key, and Blue10 will automatically calculate the amount for you. You can also enter multiple calculation steps at once; the standard calculation order will then be applied.
- Insight into links on the integration page
If you switch to a different ERP/accounting system, you will of course want to continue working with Blue10 ;-). The integration page provides insight into the various accounting systems that Blue10 integrates with and offers the option to request new integrations. Read more here.In 2025, Blue10 implemented two new integrations, namely with Exact Online Bouw and Uniconta.
- E-invoice templates further improved (Enterprise)
Various improvements have been made to the e-invoice templates. In addition to linking product codes to general ledger entries, it is now possible to link lines on an invoice and/or VAT codes to corresponding lines on the invoice and general ledger entries. Finally, it is now also possible to link dimensions to characteristics in the e-invoice.
- Business Central: purchase order matching window
Following an announcement at the end of 2024, the integration with Business Central has been expanded to include the purchase order matching window. The matching window makes it possible to match one or more purchase orders and/or specific receipt lines from Blue10 in Business Central. This functionality offers users greatly improved insight into the purchase order(s) to be matched or underlying purchase order (receipt) line(s) before the actual matching is carried out in Business Central.
- Finding imported documents in the Source Overview
After importing a document, it is not only visible on the dashboard, but also in the Source Overview. Here you can see the entire flow that a document has gone through, from receipt to complete processing in Blue10. Previously, there were different overviews to provide insight into the various process steps that an invoice had gone through. With the Source Overview, all invoices can be found and traced in one place. Read more here.
- Blue10 App: View history and import images faster
In the Blue10 App, you can see which documents you have previously uploaded with the app via the History tile and import images directly from your phone’s photo gallery. When you or a colleague has posted a comment on a document, you can now also see this in the app. Read more here.
Looking ahead to 2026
In the coming year, we will continue to add new features in Blue10. Here is a preview of the functionalities that we will make available to our customers in early 2026:
- Expansion of the validation screen
We are currently working on a number of optimisations for the validation screen, which are now in use by a few beta customers. We expect to roll out these enhancements to all customers in the near future.The following functionality will be added: the ability to search for specific documents in the verify, save bookings in the verify temporarily, and link credit invoices directly to previously received debit invoices receipt. - New integration with Uniconta
In collaboration with Promentum, we have realised a new integration with Uniconta in the past quarter. The first customers will start using this integration in January 2026, after which we will make it available to all our customers.
Christmas activities Blue10
Team Blue10 delivers 500 Christmas gifts
For a number of years now, we have been dedicating ourselves around Christmas time to people who could use a ray of sunshine during this period. This year, every Blue10 employee surprised five people or households with a lovely Christmas gift, with each employee free to decide who could use this gift. Whether this is a lonely elderly person or someone in a sad situation, we hope that our Christmas gift has brought them a ray of sunshine.
In addition, together with Stichting de Betrokken Spartaan, we delivered 150 Christmas gifts to various Laurens and Aafje locations in Rotterdam. We hope that this will give these elderly people the attention they deserve, especially at this time of year.
Blue10 organises another event for the elderly
In 2026, we will once again organise an event for the elderly in collaboration with Vitis Welzijn, to give (lonely) elderly people a wonderful afternoon. The exact date of the outing has not yet been set; we are still in the process of organising it, with the help of the Nationale Theaterkassa, which is making more than 150 tickets available for the outing for the elderly. We will share more details about the outing at a later date.

Highlights in 2025
At the end of each year, many people typically take a moment to reflect on all the events, challenges and successes of the past period. At Blue10, as we approach the end of 2025, we look back on a number of wonderful milestones that we have celebrated together:
Blue10 organises an outing for the elderly
On Sunday 25 May 2025, we set off with 150 senior citizens, coordinators from Vitis Welzijn and our own Blue10 staff from the municipality of Westland to the SS Rotterdam. There we enjoyed a performance by Syb van der Ploeg and Wiebe Kaspers and a show by Ger Vos. The happy faces and heart-warming reactions made this a day we will talk about for a long time to come. With this video, we hope to inspire you to take up a similar initiative with your company in your area!
Extension of Sparta Rotterdam kit sponsorship
Sparta Rotterdam and Blue10 have extended their kit partnership until at least the summer of 2028. This means that the Blue10 logo will continue to adorn the back of the Netherlands’ most beautiful shirt for the next three seasons.
As part of our partnership, we teamed up with Sparta midfielder Pelle Clement to record a video in which he explains what Blue10 does, but in football terms. Curious to see how he does it? Watch the video here.
Bosses of Tomorrow
Every year, Jinc, the organisation that works towards a society in which your postcode does not determine your future, organises the “Boss of Tomorrow” day. This year, two pupils from Year 8 took over from our CEO Marcel and were given the opportunity to experience what we do at Blue10 and what it is like to be in his shoes.
Blue10 x Premier Padel event
On 3 October, we visited Rotterdam Ahoy with a group of customers and business relations for the second edition of the Blue10 x Premier Padel event. The event began with a padel tournament for beginners and advanced players, after which we listened to an inspiring story from former top tennis player and current KNLTB director Jacco Eltingh. The afternoon continued with a delicious dinner between the padel courts, after which we had the opportunity to watch some of the quarter-final matches played by the pros. It was another wonderful and very successful day this year.
